Hi, I am Hannah Joy

Let's get to know each other

It’s time to meet who you’re working with and what to expect when you hire me as your photographer. :)

Hi there! I’m Hannah Joy. (thanks mom & dad—I love my middle name)

My journey with photography began at the age of 11 when I received my first camera as a Christmas gift. From that moment on, I was captivated by the power of preserving time through imagery. The candid laughs, the quiet moments, the beautiful in-betweens. Photography has always been more than a passion; it's my way of storytelling.

While I currently work full-time as a sales representative, photography remains a meaningful and growing part of my life.

Here’s where to find me in my spare time outside of work…

•Reading a good classic, historical fiction, deep-thinking memoir or a philosophical book in the sunshine (tea in hand, of course).

•Brushing strokes of color on any blank canvas within arms reach—filling sketchbooks, scrapbooks, and journals with beautiful memories or ideas.  (You’ll find me writing poetry occasionally)

•Entering my home, you’ll see me nurturing my excessive amount of house plants, snuggling with my clingy kitten, singing with my noisy bird, or admiring my terrariums filled with moss. (You may also find remnants of a too often Taco Bell date on the counter.)

•Catch me on a walk with my husband, deep into an audiobook at the gym, or taking a brisk stroll on my bike most likely barefoot.

•Last but certainly NOT least—wherever I’m at, it’s almost a guarantee you’ll find my husband and I on the nearest roller coaster. (It’s an addiction at this point, I won’t deny it) To me, life is about the simple everyday JOYS—soaking up any moment it tosses my way.

Short and sweet, here’s the pros and cons of what to expect if you work with me.

MY PROS:

•You’ll have a friend to listen to your every idea and hype you up when you need it.

•Easy planning and quick communication. Your gallery turn around time is embarrassing fast as I have no self control when it comes to editing. (If you don’t receive your gallery within 3 weeks I’m probably deathly sick and should be checked on. This might be a con—I’m still undecided)

•Affordable prices that fit your budget.

•An open book. I’m open to just about anything. You have the idea— I have my camera, (and hopefully a fully charged battery) I see no problem, and I’m here for it. Please send me your Pinterest boards ASAP as I am obsessed with your vision and want to MAKE it happen!

Let’s get real.

MY CONS:

•If I don’t hear from you the second I deliver your gallery I’ll probably overthink every picture and wonder if they came out good.  (This is UNREALISTIC, trust me—I know. You don’t have to respond at all, I just overthink.)

•I’ll wait a few minutes to respond to your text cause I don’t want to feel like I’m chronically online.

•When I’m on my way to your session, I’ll convince myself multiple times I left all my equipment at home even though it’s in my passenger seat.

•I keep every picture I’ve ever taken. You lost your gallery from three years ago? No worries, I have each one backed up in 3 different places.

MOVING ON NOW…

•I believe every person has a story worth telling — and worth seeing. Through my lens, I aim to capture your unique moments with authenticity, heart, and creativity. Whether it’s a wedding celebration, milestone, a couples session, or a simple moment you want to remember, I’m here to help you feel seen and celebrated. I aim to keep my services affordable, striving to give the opportunity to all who wish to have their story told through my lens.

It would be an honor to work with you ;)

Let’s create something beautiful together — reach out today to shape your vision!
